New technologies like data science, AI, IOT, robotics, virtual and mixed reality, e-commerce, blockchain, cybersecurity, automation and others are changing our day to day lives as well as our jobs as teachers and affecting the future job prospects of students. We organized a webinar titled ‘STEM for All’, in May 2021, as a joint initiative of Lahore College for Women University and EGB4 Technologies in which speakers from NASA, Aga Khan University, BUITMS and others participated. The upcoming webinar on Future of Work will be a continuation of the same series.
This webinar will be based on a panel discussion with educators and industry professionals, including resource persons from the American Association of Robotics & Technology, EGB4 Technologies and TransData. It aims to identify the specific technologies prevalent in the current education and jobs environments, and in the foreseeable future. The webinar will identify the relevant skill sets needed for students and teachers to be better prepared for their current and future jobs, with regard to technology savvy skills, lifelong learning, growth mindset, and soft skills like creativity, empathy, emotional and social IQ.
